Upon receiving your Trezor device, unbox it carefully. You’ll find the hardware wallet itself, a USB cable, and a recovery seed card. Connect your Trezor device to your computer using the USB cable provided.
Open your web browser and navigate to Trezor.io/start. This is the official Trezor setup page where you’ll find the latest software and instructions for your device.
On the Trezor.io/start page, you will be prompted to download Trezor Suite, the application that enables you to manage your wallet. Trezor Suite is available for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the software.
Once Trezor Suite is installed, open the application and follow the instructions to initialize your device. You will be guided through setting up a PIN for added security and creating a recovery seed. The recovery seed is a series of words that act as a backup for your wallet.
